Day 21 - Aghghghghg so hard to get back to the coal face...

What a truly glorious long weekend!
It sure was a challenging to get out of the bed with the alarm today. That sure was a sensational long weekend.
Today was a glorious mix of facing 298 emails... I have many more to go tomorrow... but made a good start on clearing the inbox.
...online meetings with schools. One preparing for first day on distance learning tomorrow, and one who had started today.
I am in awe of all educators who are working tirelessly for their learners at this time.
We also had a wonderful session with Dr Lucy Hone and Dr Denise Quinlan today. I love these sessions. We really are privileged to have time to think about our well being.
Today we looked at how far we have lowered the bar. How we have lowered expectations of ourselves and others.
We discussed the myth of multi-tasking. It just isn't possible.

We looked at this wonderful quote vy Victor Frankel:

"Those who have a WHY to live for can bear almost any HOW."

It was great to have time in Zoom breakout rooms to discuss our WHY, to really think about what we have fuel for.

We looked at riding the seesaw of productivity - moving from manic tidying and gardening, to bingeing on Netflix.

We looked at identifying what is our most important work for now; what time we realistically have to give to this work; and when and how we work best - what our peak time is.
We discussed our enablers and our barriers, and looked at how we can play to the strengths of our ' bubbles'.

We concluded with the notion of keeping things REAL not PERFECT, and also taking time to notice how far we have come in such a short time.

What an awesome session.

The afternoon flew by and all too soon it was nearly dark and I realised I hadn't been outside.

An early evening walk was just what I needed. #BLISS

How was your bubble today?
